This program is centered around story telling, problem solving as a group, and having fun! Actors are encouraged to be physical and interactive. A safe environment for anyone wanting to explore being onstage, saying lines, working in costume, playing improv games and working together!

Our PIPPI LONGSTOCKINGS will be a musical adaptation and re-imagining of the Swedish classic by Astrid Lindgren. Written & Directed by the incomparable Cynthia Myers

Synopsis: When Pippi receives a message in a bottle, she recruits her neighbour to help her find out who it’s from and what it says. Together they set out to rescue Pippi’s father Captain Olaf; stranded on a desert island in the south pacific. Along the way Pippi, The Polka Dot Horse, Mrs. Nielsen and the Triplets meet new friends, Sponge Bob, Capt. Jack sparrow – fight with pirates, entre a hula contest and finally reunite Pippi with her father.

We’re over the moon to have Cynthia Myers leading our production. With over 25 years as an Arts Educator she’s created countless productions for children to rave reviews. Ever the consummate performer, Cynthia thrives on stage – be it with her many acting roles or as a vocalist with with her trio. She’s put so much love into this adaptation we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy it!
